Luke Alessi 〰️
Luke Alessi - 6th July, 2024.
“A fine balance between ruthless functionality & experimentalism,” Luke Alessi says of his current creative output. Influenced by an array of different styles, Luke Alessi’s music sits in its own lane, not to be pigeonholed into any conventional genre. Instead, intentionally blurring the lines between house, indie dance, afro, prog & techno via bending synth lines, earworm hooks and an underlying groove that keeps you locked in on the dance floor.
Supported by Side Selections.
DZ Deathrays
〰️
DZ Deathrays 〰️
DZ Deathrays - 20th July, 2024.
Australian-based guitar-driven music has for the better part of recent memory been quantified globally by jubilant, sun-dappled rhythms with motifs of desire and infatuation - DZ Deathrays make no such promise, nor will they ever. With over a decade long tenure to their name, the group have long cemented their space in contemporary Australian music as a necessity for doing just the opposite, marked by their ability to consistently churn out innovative call to arms riffage as visceral as they are frenetic.

The Coopers Winter Series is back for 2023 and oh boy….. we are bloody stoked! Round one begins with The Terrys, supported by Torquay locals Savage Honey and Melbourne legends Sophisticated Dingo.
Amidst a global lockdown, Gerringong locals Jacob Finch (vocals), Lukas Anderson (lead guitar) and Ben Salvatori (rhythm guitar) began teaching each other to jam in their shared trailer house, owned by landlord/legend, Terry… Many noise complaints and two additional members later, Cameron Cooper (drums) and Trent Cooper (bass), Terry agreed to lend the fully formed band his name, and at last, the almighty Tezzas were born.

Bella Claxton - Supported by Side Selections 5TH Aug, 2023
The Man is about to go turbo! We are thrilled to introduce the energy-filled Bella Claxton.
There aren't many local artists with Bella Claxton’s enthusiasm. That infectious energy flows organically into her DJ sets. Think artists like HAAi, Job Jobse and Sally C, and you are almost there. Not only does she share their disregard for genre labels, but also their absolute joy for unearthing dancefloor gems from all decades. That ability to link the old and new is impressive, and she expertly fuses 90s house vocals with modern maximal rave energy. It is a highly irresistible combination that has led to consistent bookings at clubs from Xe54 to Glamorama. She is also an active member of the local dance music community, enabling local talent to reach a wider audience via her online station, In House Radio. That brand has turned into a regular club night selling out its current home: The Gasometer. Her sound is honest and undeniable. Bella Claxton is about to go turbo, don't get left behind.
